HO CHI MINH CITY, September 18 — A sponsored feature published by TTG Asia on 14 September makes a straightforward pitch to the meetings industry: bring your conference to Ho Chi Minh City, and stay at The Reverie Saigon. The piece, headlined “Make Ho Chi Minh City and The Reverie Saigon your next destination for MICE,” promotes the Vietnamese city and the five-star hotel as a combined destination for meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions travel.

It leans on a run of awards and a wave of new infrastructure to make its case.

A city collecting awards

Ho Chi Minh City was named Asia’s Best MICE Destination for the fifth consecutive year in the World MICE Awards, according to the feature. The city has also taken other World Travel Awards recognition — Asia’s Leading Business Travel Destination and Asia’s Leading Festival & Event Destination for 2023 to 2025. Those honours are the backdrop.

The more concrete argument is money and logistics. The Ho Chi Minh City People’s Council (Assembly) has introduced a support policy for eligible MICE groups that combine conferences, seminars or exhibitions with tourism activities, running through to 2030.

New terminals, new rail lines

Infrastructure cited as upgraded includes Terminal 3 at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, which began operations in 2025. Metro Line 1, the city’s first urban rail connection, is also named, along with Metro Line 2, whose construction began in January 2026. The feature notes an expanding road network, upscale accommodation and conference venues as factors strengthening the city’s capacity to host international MICE groups.

At the centre of the pitch sits The Reverie Saigon, described as a five-star luxury hotel and a member of The Leading Hotels of The World. It is located at the intersection of Nguyen Hue Boulevard and Dong Khoi Street, occupying the upper floors of the landmark Times Square Building in downtown Ho Chi Minh City.

The hotel is introducing what the feature calls a more experiential approach to luxury MICE travel, combining business gatherings with Michelin-starred dining, private wellness and bespoke city journeys. Gerd Kotlorz, the hotel’s general manager, is quoted saying that today’s MICE travellers expect more than an efficient meeting agenda. He says they seek meaningful destination experiences, opportunities to reconnect and memorable moments, and that the hotel brings these elements together to transform a business gathering into a highly personalised journey through the city.

Ballrooms, spas and a Golden Keys concierge

The hotel offers 15 meeting and event spaces, including La Scala Ballroom, described as one of the city’s pillar-free ballrooms, plus San Carlo and Amber & Jade, catering to conferences, executive meetings and private luncheons. An events team handles planning, culinary arrangements and on-site execution. Post-meeting facilities include a Spa and outdoor swimming pool, and restaurants and bars serving European and Asian cuisine.

Long Triều’s Cantonese cuisine has held one Michelin Star from 2024 to 2026. Other dining options include The Long @ Times Square, Café Cardinal and The Reverie Boutique.

The hotel’s central location is near MICHELIN Selected Vietnam House Restaurant. The MICE team can assist with itineraries covering the City Opera House, Central Post Office, cultural landmarks, shopping destinations, fashion boutiques and dining venues. The Concierge team, led by a Head of Concierge holding the Golden Keys distinction, offers recommendations and personalised assistance.

Signature experiences include Saigon River cruises, Rolls-Royce city tours and private photography tours, letting planners combine meetings with dining, leisure and city experiences. The feature closes by inviting planners to reach out to The Reverie Saigon.

What to watch next is whether the city’s rail and airport upgrades, paired with the council’s support policy through 2030, translate into the international MICE bookings the feature is courting.
