SEATTLE, September 30 — Boeing secured a monopoly on American sixth-generation fighter jets following its recent victories in both the Air Force’s F-47 and Navy’s F/A-XX programs, locking out competitors Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman. The agreement, valued at over $20 billion for the full-scale development phase, places Boeing at the forefront of the global aerospace industry, with the F/A-XX expected to fly in the 2030s. The Pentagon stated that the F/A-XX will provide unparalleled capabilities and dominate contested airspace, a strategic advantage in the face of growing international competition. Boeing’s victory in the Navy’s F/A-XX program comes after a rigorous competition that spanned several years. The F/A-XX is designed to replace the Navy’s aging F/A-18 fleet, offering advanced stealth, speed, and agility. “This is a significant milestone for Boeing and the United States Navy,” said Boeing’s Defense, Space & Security President and CEO Leanne Caret. “We are proud to continue our longstanding partnership with the Navy and look forward to delivering the F/A-XX to the fleet.”

The F/A-XX is expected to feature cutting-edge technologies, including artificial intelligence, advanced materials, and directed-energy weapons. These technologies will enable the F/A-XX to outperform current and future adversaries, ensuring American air superiority. Boeing’s victory in the F/A-XX program follows its successful bid for the Air Force’s F-47, a twin-engine fighter jet designed to replace the F-15 Eagle and F-16 Fighting Falcon. The F-47 is expected to enter service in the late 2020s. The Pentagon’s decision to award Boeing both the F-47 and F/A-XX contracts has sparked controversy among critics, who argue that the decision will stifle competition and lead to higher costs for taxpayers. However, supporters of the decision argue that Boeing’s experience and expertise in building high-performance military aircraft make it the best choice for the United States’ sixth-generation fighter programs. “Boeing’s success in both the F-47 and F/A-XX programs demonstrates the company’s commitment to innovation and excellence,” said Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin. “We are confident that Boeing will deliver the advanced capabilities our military needs to protect our nation and allies.”

As Boeing continues to develop the F/A-XX, the company is also working on other high-profile military programs, including the Air Force’s T-7A trainer jet and the KC-46 tanker. These programs are crucial to the United States’ military readiness and will ensure American dominance in the skies for years to come. By nightfall, the F/A-XX is set to dominate the global aerospace industry, with Boeing poised to lead the way in American military aviation. The F/A-XX’s unparalleled capabilities and advanced technologies will ensure American air superiority, maintaining the United States’ position as the world’s leading military power.
